Demo Guide -BEYOND :Two Souls

Find out how to survive your first encounter with this gripping and unpredictable action thriller on PS3.
Want to harness the incredible power at your fingertips in BEYOND: Two Souls? Here are some handy pointers on how to get through this heart-stopping demo, exclusive and free to download to your PlayStation 3 from PlayStation Store.

The Experiment
Get comfy
The Experiment gives you a chance to get used to the context sensitive controls. Fine tune the sensitivity via the Options menu until you're happy with the responsiveness of the left stick. Then experiment with the different toys and activities in Jodie's room. Your supervisor, Cole, will wait while you take a look at Jodie's drawings, watch some TV and strum on her toy guitar.
Become Aiden
As an introduction to the mysterious and powerful entity Aiden, this is a great chance to explore some of his incredible abilities within a risk free environment. BEYOND: Two Souls aims to make you an extension of Aiden's will, so if you're curious about something, check it out with Aiden. Similarly, if you want to be mischievous or wrathful, use Aiden to become a frightening and dangerous spirit.
Just be aware that your actions as Aiden can have consequences for Jodie, so think things through before you decide to create too much carnage.
Hunted
Watch out
Hunted is full of action and part of that involves getting used to the slow motion sequences where Jodie is thrust into a high pressure situation. When each slow motion sequence starts, you must push the right stick in the same direction Jodie's arms are moving towards. Get it correct and she'll perform the move successfully, while if you're too slow or push the wrong direction the screen will flash red and Jodie will suffer.
The key to keeping Jodie from harm during these pulse pounding moments is to not panic, and always keep your eyes trained on Jodie's joints. Most of the time you'll see a knee or elbow bend which will be the main limb Jodie is using in her action. Try to move the right stick in that exact direction - you don't always need to be totally accurate but it'll give you a greater chance of success should you accidently flinch, especially as sometimes you'll be required to guide Jodie with the left stick at the same time.
Speed isn't of the essence
If you manage to grab a motorcycle during your adventure, don't feel that you need to keep the R2 button held down all the time to keep Jodie's speed up. Ease off it every so often, otherwise you'll smash her into the railings due to the lack of light on the road. Don't ignore the road signs either, as they can indicate when a sharp turn or bend is coming up.
An explosive imagination
The Bakertown street showdown is where your skills as Aiden in the first chapter are truly tested. With the SWAT team bearing down on Jodie, you're given free rein to help her however you can, and the clock is ticking. Pay special attention to the cutscenes for clues just before you're given control of Aiden, so you can work out what you can affect to help Jodie.
If you see an orange aura around a SWAT team member they can be possessed, while a blue dot on an object means you can damage or push it to create havoc. Don't be afraid to get a little rough, as the longer you take, the more dangerous the situation gets for Jodie.
