Today
i am telling about the most important herb which is worship by
Indians and some parts of world. But they do not know much about this
herb which is Tulsi(Indian
name) Basil(English
name). It has common in India in few varieties,most common is Van
Tulsi and
Shyam
Tulsi.But
we don't know that it has 250 varieties grew all over the world.
The juice of tulsi leaves can be used to bring down fever. Extract of tulsi leaves in fresh water is given 2 or 3 hours. In between,one can keep giving the sips of cold water. This specially advised for bringing down fever in children.
Tulsi
is
an important constituent of many Ayurveda cough syrups and
expectorants. It helps to mobilize mucus in bronchitis and asthma.
Chewing Tulsi
leaves
relives cold and flu.
For
ear-ache,few drops of Tulsi
extract,if
instilled,relieves the symptoms promptly.
The
juice of fresh, flower tops and slender .Roots is a very good
antidote for snake and scorpions bites.
Its oil is rich in vitamin C,carotene,calcium and phosphorus. Besides,it has anti-bacterial,anti-fungal and anti-viral properties.
Ayurvedic

have significantly reduced the symptoms of viral hepatitis.
In diabetics it help in lowering blood sugar levels in body.
