Hackers come up with new tricks to attack bank accounts

Dr. WEB Warns Of New Trojan For Linux Having Heavy Payload

Dr.WEB, Russian developer of information security software, is warning users about a new malignant program for Linux which has been dubbed Linux.Hanthie. A thorough analysis showed that this Trojan (also known as the Hand of Thief) is equipped not only with a wide array malicious features but also can conceal itself from anti-viruses.

Currently, the malware is actively sold and purchased on underground hacker forums. It features anti-detection technologies and routines for its covert startup, does not require administrator privileges, and uses strong encryption (256-bit) for communicating with the control panel. Xbox Music (for Android)

  • Pros
Good sound quality. Lots of tracks. Clean interface. Easy Collection and Playlist construction.
  • Cons No free version. You can't browse by genre or create stations. Lacks lyrics.

  • Bottom Line
Xbox Music brings over 30 million songs to your Android device, but a few missing features keep it from competing with the mobile streaming music service top dogs.

The already plump mobile streaming music space has just gotten a wee bit fatter with Xbox Music's Android and iOS debuts. Xbox Music lets Xbox Music Pass subscribers stream their favorite music (ad-free!) to smartphones and tablets, and also Xbox home video game consoles starting at $9.99 per month (you can, however, listen to Xbox Music for free on the desktop via a Web browser). Xbox Music for Android has a streamlined, easy-to-navigate interface and good sound quality, but it's missing several features found in rival services. I tested Xbox Music on a Samsung Galaxy Note II.

SmartWatch 2 hack day @ #SonyIFA

Hackathon 2

This past weekend we held a hack day at IFA, where developers were invited to be amongst the first people to get their hands on Sony SmartWatch 2.
It marks a new campaign we’ve launched this IFA week… “Stand out from the crowd“, a developer initiative to discover creativity & bring something extra to the Sony experience. We’ll offer various benefits and promo ops to selected participants: marketing support, the chance to join us at a trade show or two, and the option to grab Sony devices to develop and test on.

Back to the hack, we were joined by developers from across the spectrum; established Google play-ers, and others looking to channel fresh creativity. We tasked the group with porting and/or creating apps & extensions for SmartWatch 2′s already 300-strong portfolio – before (as Kaz announced Weds) it hits stores later this month.

Google's Trojan horse: how Chrome Apps will finally take on Windows

The web alone is not enough
Today, on Chrome's fifth birthday, Google is announcing the rollout of what it's calling Chrome Apps. Don't feel bad if you're confused by the name. Chrome has been serving up web apps since 2010 when the Chrome Web Store opened up alongside the launch of the Chrome OS. Chrome Apps, however, are different than what's been offered before. They comprise Google's bid to elevate the browser into a true app platform — one that it thinks could one day be a legitimate rival to Windows, OS X, and someday iOS and even Android.
