After some rumors for a while, alleged press image of the Nokia Lumia phablet the Lumia 1520 – formerly known as Bandit – is leaked. Notorious Twitter-based gadget gossiper @Evleaks has surfaced the image that shows a yellow unibody Lumia phone with a massive 6-inch display, which touts Windows Phone 8’s Live Tiles.

However, there is no credibility for the report about the Lumia phablet. Some sources claim that the leaked picture is looking fake, because it seems to be ‘Photoshoped’ from a yellow model of the Lumia 925. GSM Arena has noted that the leaked image shows the camera lens and flash as they are on the recently-launched Lumia 925.

Whatever it is, a Windows Phone phablet is largely expected from Nokia. So far Nokia has produced a cameraphone and a range of high-end phones for the new operating system. So there is nothing surprising to expect a phablet from Nokia. Indeed, with the rumored 6-inch display, the device can be an ideal pick for both tablet as well as large smartphone fans.

By the way, battle in the phablet market has entered to a new level as too many Android gadgets with FullHD displays are released recently. Apart from Sony Xperia Z Ultra, we have just witnessed to the unveiling of Samsung’s third edition Galaxy Note 3 with a slightly smaller, but high quality FullHD display screen.

Meanwhile, it is a fact that the current version of WP 8 doesn’t support some of the common specifications of top-shelf phablets including FullHD display, quad core processor and more. So, the upcoming WP 8 update codenamed the GDR3 is widely hoped to bring in support for all those l0argely expected attributes to the Windows Phone 8.
